With over ten years of swimming experience, and eight years of coaching, Catherine continues her career with Power Aquatics. She was the assistant coach at el toro high school, Lake Forest II Dolphins and headed the youth groups while coaching for the Stingrays through 2012. Coach "Cat" works with swimmers of all ages; from young children learning to be water safe, youth emphasizing stroke progression, to high level competition strategy. She has her first aide, CPR & water safety certifications, as well as USA Swimming coach verification.
Catherine also promotes the sport of swimming by taking groups of swimmers to USA swim competitions. To prepare for such a level, her practices focused on stroke progression and analysis while simulating a competetive environment for swimmers. Catherine holds two MVP water polo awards, coaches award for swim and most inspirational.
Sam began swimming with the Lake Forest II Dolphins program in 1991, and later went on to be the head coach for four years. Growing up, she competed on both the Nova and Nadadores swim teams. Sam lettered in swimming at El Toro High School as a freshmen. In 2005, her 18U Girls water polo team took silver at the Junior Olympics.
After El Toro high school she attended Golden West College for one year. In 2005, she held two top 8 records at Golden West College as well as earning 8th in the Nation for the 50 yard breastroke and 12th in the 100 yard breastroke. Sam was also captain of the water polo team, had the most goals and assists, was voted MVP, First Team all Orange Empire and First Team All-American. In 2007, she attended Concordia University for both swimming and water polo, and was the captain of the water polo team for three years. In 2008 and 2009 Sam was named most offensive player of the year and in 2010, she earned most valuable player.
Sam graduated from Concordia University in 2010 with a Bachelors degree in communication, and in 2012 with a Masters degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
Sam has been coaching swimming and water polo since 2003. Starting with the SVA Marlins in 2003, SET water polo in 2005, Lake Forest II Dolphins in 2007 as assistant & 2008 head coach, Lake Forest II Stingrays 2008, Kahuna Water Polo Club 2009, Northwood water polo club 2011, and assisted at Concordia University 2011-2012. In 2012, Sam founded Power Aquatics, and it her her dream to see it grow. She coached MVHS Boy's and Girls from 2012- current, and was head coach/ league champions in 2016. When she's not coaching, she's either working at Regency Real Estate Brokers, or traveling the world.
Claire Aguilar has been swimming since the age of 8.She is CPR/Lifeguard Safety certified, and has been an assist coach since 15 with young swimmers ages 3+ in programs including SET,Lake Forest Dolphins II, and Stingrays. Has practiced and competed at Lake Forest Dolphins II, SVA Marlins, and was a varsity swimmer at El Toro for four years, making it to CIF and Master meets .Claire was voted co-captain and awarded coaches award senior year of high school and competed in Junior Olympics meets starting at the age of 11. Claire is a former swimmer at Orange Coast College, where she made it to State Championship in individual events and relays year 2012-2013, and accomplished a school record in a relay. She will be coaching for Power Aquatics when she is not away at Cal State Monterrey Bay. Open to private swim lessons and encourages parents to communicate any concerns or questions they might have for her.

Promoting the sport of swimming, Coach Abe’s involvements include: private swim lessons, age group instruction with emphasis on stroke progression, meet preparation, and race strategy.
Abe Coached summer league practices, consulted races and refereed meets. He has obtained USAS / coach certification and ASCA certification Level 2. Abe co-founded the Lake Forest II Stingrays Swim Team and was a head coach for four seasons. He is an interim coach at Power Aquatics when he is not working at the US Postal Service.

SWIMMING AND WATER POLO CLUB
In addition to Power Aquatics, Kevin has served as the Head Coach for the Boys Water Polo program at Mission Viejo High School since 2016.
Prior to coaching, Kevin played two years at Saddleback College where he was team captain, all-time leading scorer and a 2016 inductee into the Saddleback Athletics Hall of Fame.
Coach Kevin was also a four year varsity letter-winner at Mission Viejo High School where he earned Second Team All-South Coast League honors as a sophomore, First Team as a junior and League MVP as a senior. He also led his team to CIF all 4 years and earned All-CIF honors for Division II as a junior and senior.
Kevin comes from an aquatic background as both of his parents were aquatics coaches themselves. Kevin has been playing water polo since the age of 8 and his team won the first ever 12 and under Junior Olympics. He was also a part of the Cadet and Development U.S. National teams where he was able to train in Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia and Montenegro while representing his country.
Kevin received his bachelor's degree in Business Management from Cal State University, Fullerton in 2015. You can still find Coach Kevin in the pool today as he enjoys playing masters water polo.
